Sadly, the project code hasn't been updated since 2006, so I can't imagine it still works as Processing has changed a lot in that time. I might try it anyway as it does exactly what I need.

A "mashup" tool (there seem to be quite a few of these, suddenly). This one looks quite versatile.
Microsoft Popfly 
another mashup tool. This looks the simplest to use. Uses Silverlight, which I have gone off a bit. Not sure how flexible the output is. Uses JavaScript which looks simple enough.
